The Greater Hollywood Jaycees Organization is seeking eligible bachelors and bachelorettes to go on the auction bloc for charity. The fourth annual fundraiser, set for July 31st at Nikki Marina at the Diplomat Landing in Hollywood, will feature seven guys and seven gals up for bid along with special date packages donated by local businesses. There is no charge for admission to the event.
The Bachelor & Bachelorette Auction promises a good time for a good cause, with proceeds benefiting the Junior Chambers Annual Back-to-School Shopping Spree for local underprivileged children.
This years auction has a new twist with the addition of bachelorettes.
The goal is for this years auction to draw an even larger crowd and to take at least 100 children on a back-to-school shopping spree. Schools and organizations that will participate in the shopping spree are Hollywood Central Elementary, Driftwood Elementary, McNicol Middle, Attucks Middle, Olsen Middle, The Jubilee Center and Liberia Economic & Social Development Corporation (LES).
Last years diverse group of bachelors included business executives, doctors, firefighters and police officers, an assistant principal and a bartender. Bachelors and bachelorettes must be at least 18 years old and will participate in a fun interview session during the auction.
The Bachelor & Bachelorette Auction will be held from 8:30pm to 10pm on Thursday, July 31 at Nikki Marina, 3660 South Ocean Drive in Hollywood.
